SIKING in Medical

SIKING manufactures custom silicone components suitable for non-implantable medical device applications where material traceability and process control are the primary qualification requirements. All medical production uses imported LSR from Dow, Wacker ELASTOSIL, and Shin-Etsu in a Class 100K cleanroom environment.

SIKING is not a medical device manufacturer. SIKING manufactures component parts used by medical device OEMs in their finished devices. Responsibility for device-level compliance remains with the device manufacturer.

  • Cleanroom: Class 100K production environment
  • LSR suppliers: Dow, Wacker ELASTOSIL, Shin-Etsu — imported only
  • Material traceability: batch-level, raw material to finished part
  • ISO 13485: SIKING is pursuing this certification — not currently held
  • ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 — currently held
Case Evidence

Hearing Aid Manufacturer — Defect Reduction

SIKING's primary medical production reference. Verified outcome, no fabrication.

Hearing Aid Components
Challenge

Tier-1 hearing aid manufacturer experiencing 15% defect rate on micro-silicone cushions from previous supplier. Dimensional inconsistency across production batches.

Solution

Transitioned production to SIKING's LSR injection process using imported medical-grade silicone. Cleanroom production with closed-mold injection for contamination control.

Result

±0.02mm dimensional tolerance maintained across production batches. Defect rate reduced to <800 DPPM — from 15% to under 0.1%.

This case reflects an actual production transition. Client identity is not disclosed by agreement. Data reported from production records.
