Our Story

Built on Process Discipline, Not Just Experience

SIKING was founded in Shenzhen in March 1990. From the beginning, the focus was on building manufacturing processes rigorous enough that defects are caught before they reach the customer — not after.

That discipline was codified formally in 1996 with the publication of SK9002A, SIKING's proprietary enterprise standard. SK9002A defined dimensional tolerance bands, keypad force-curve acceptance criteria, and product lifespan testing protocols at a time when most silicone manufacturers were operating without such frameworks.

36 years later, that same process infrastructure — updated, certified to ISO 9001:2015, and extended into LSR injection and Class 100K cleanroom production — serves OEM programmes across Europe, East Asia, and the Americas.

Company Timeline

Milestones

1990

Founded in Shenzhen

SIKING established in March 1990 as a silicone manufacturing joint venture in Shenzhen's Longhua industrial zone.

1996

SK9002A Enterprise Standard Published; First ISO Certification

SIKING published SK9002A, its proprietary enterprise standard covering dimensional tolerances, keypad force curves, and product lifespan testing. First ISO certification received the same year.

2002

Qingdao Branch Established

Second production facility opened in Qingdao to serve Panasonic and Samsung OEM programmes in northern China. The branch operated for approximately 16 years before consolidation back to Shenzhen.

2009

SK9002A Standard Revised

Enterprise standard updated to reflect expanded process capabilities and tighter tolerance specifications across compression and transfer molding lines.

2010s

LSR Injection Technology and Cleanroom Infrastructure

SIKING invested in dedicated liquid silicone rubber injection units and Class 100K cleanroom infrastructure, enabling precision medical-grade and electronics components.

Current

ISO 9001:2015 · ISO 14001:2015 · ISO 13485 Pathway In Progress

Active ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications. ISO 13485 and IATF 16949 coordination ongoing. 40+ proprietary patents. Serving OEM programmes across electronics, medical, and automotive sectors globally.

Client Relationships

Supply Relationships, Not Just Transactions

Long-term OEM supply partnerships built over years — not project-to-project trading.

Direct Supply Partners

SIKING has operated as a direct supply partner to Panasonic and Foxconn — components in active production under long-term OEM programmes spanning multiple product generations.

Components in Active Production

SIKING-manufactured components are currently or have been in active production for: Siemens, Honeywell, Bosch, LG, Samsung, Nokia, and Sharp.

What These Relationships Mean

Panasonic and Foxconn apply supplier qualification frameworks that include PPAP, SPC monitoring, and incoming inspection. Continued supply is evidence of process capability — not just capability claims.

Engineering Philosophy

Defects are a process problem. We solve them at the process level.

SIKING's approach starts with mold design and material selection, not end-of-line inspection. DFM review identifies tolerance-risk geometry before tooling is cut. Material traceability tracks batch origin from supplier to finished part. Process parameters are documented per job and version-controlled.

When defects appear — in sampling, trial production, or early mass production — they are treated as process signals, not isolated incidents. Root cause is documented. Corrective action is validated by re-sampling before production resumes.

  • DFM review before any tooling commitment
  • Material batch traceability from Dow / Wacker / Shin-Etsu to finished part
  • SK9002A enterprise standard in force across all production
  • ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, externally audited
  • CCD visual inspection on high-volume production lines
